Vi vill ge tydliga råd. Råd kan börja med ett verb: Check where the news comes from. Never share your password. Eller med should: You should take a break. Ett skäl gör rådet lättare att följa: Never share your password, because someone could use your account.

När du skriver till yngre elever behöver orden vara enkla och meningarna korta. Numrera gärna råden. Det viktigaste rådet kommer först eller sist, där läsaren minns det bäst.

Always check where the information comes from. Det betyder: kolla alltid var informationen kommer ifrån.

Is it true? Four questions to ask

Last week a video spread fast online. It showed a shark swimming down a street in a flooded city. Thousands of people shared it, and some news websites wrote about it. The problem? It was fake. Somebody had put an old shark video on top of a photo of a flooded street. Every day we see lots of news, photos and videos online. Most of them are true, but some are not. Here are four questions to ask before you believe or share something. 1. Who made it? Look for the name of the writer or the website. Is it a news organisation you know, or a page you have never heard of? 2. When was it made? Old stories are often shared as if they are new. Check the date. 3. Do other sources say the same thing? If something big has really happened, many serious news websites will report it. If only one page has the story, be careful. 4. How does it make you feel? Fake stories often try to make you angry, scared or very excited, because then you share them quickly without thinking. If you're not sure, don't share it. And if something online feels wrong or worries you, talk to an adult you trust.
