A day in a city

Läs Toms resedagbok från en dag i London. Planera sedan en dag i en stad du vill visa för en besökare, och förbättra texten.

Så fungerar det

Vi vill planera en dag så att en besökare kan följa den. Ordningsord hjälper: First, after that, in the afternoon, finally. Säg hur man tar sig dit: by Underground, on foot, by bus.

Ge praktiska tips: It's free on Sundays. Book tickets online, because the queues are long. Staden kan vara en du känner, en du har besökt eller en du drömmer om att se.

In the morning we can take the Underground to the museum. It's free! Det betyder: på morgonen kan vi ta tunnelbanan till museet. Det är gratis!

Tom's day in London

Saturday was our London day. We started early with the train from Reading, and we were at Paddington Station by half past eight. First we took the Underground to Westminster. When we came up the stairs, Big Ben was right in front of us. It was bigger than I expected! We walked along the river to the London Eye, but the queue was enormous, so we decided not to wait. Instead we went to the Science Museum, which is free. I could have stayed there all day. My favourite part was a room about space where you can see a real rocket engine. For lunch we bought sandwiches at a market and ate them in Hyde Park. A squirrel came very close and tried to take my crisps. In the afternoon we sat on top of a red bus and saw Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and lots of theatres. Mum said the bus was a cheaper way to see the city than a tour. Our train home was delayed by forty minutes, so we had hot chocolate in a café at the station. I was so tired that I fell asleep on the train. Next time I want to go on the London Eye. We'll book tickets online!
